SoCo Spiced Stout - Partial Mash

A 6.7% American style stout featuring chocolate & roast malt flavors and strong licorice and cinnamon flavors from the addition of Star Anise and Cinnamon Sticks.  This beer also features American Galena and Willamette hops.  This recipe also calls for 2 to 4 Star Anise pods to the boil which provide licorice flavors.  The more star anise pods you add, the more intense the licorice flavor.

• 6.7% ABV
• 37.7 SRM
• 45.4 IBU
• 1.064 OG
• 1.013 FG

This recipe kit DOES NOT  include yeast, priming sugar or grain bags.  However, we do give you yeast options at the top of the page. These yeasts may have different levels of attenuation which may result in slight variations in the final gravity.  

Priming Sugar:  For priming sugar, we recommend the following:

• 5 oz Priming Sugar
• Carbonation Drops

Grain Bags:  If you need a grain bag, we recommend the following:

• Large Muslin Bag (Single Use)
• Jumbo Nylon Straining Bag (Reusable)

Hop Straining Bags:  If you need hop straining bags, we recommend the following:

• Small Muslin Hop Boiling Bag (Single Use)
• Fine Mesh Nylon Hop Bag With Drawstring (Reusable)
