SoCo Chocolate Stout - Partial Mash

This is a rich chocolate stout heavy with dark chocolate flavor.  This recipe is a lower ABV version of our SoCo Double Chocolate Stout.  Cacao nibs are used toward the end of the boil to give this beer a dark chocolate flavor.  Galena and Willamette hops provide a balanced bitterness.


  • ABV:  5.6%
  • IBU:  38.8
  • SRM:  34.4
  • OG:  1.055
  • FG:  1.013

This recipe kit DOES NOT  include yeast, priming sugar or grain bags.  However, we do give you yeast options at the top of the page. This recipe was designed using White Labs WLP007 Dry English Ale yeast.  Using a different recommended yeast will result in slightly different levels of attenuation and final gravity.

* We strongly recommend adding an ice pack when ordering liquid yeast.  Transit times can vary and liquid yeast works best when it remains cold until the day you brew.
