SoCo Strong Amber Ale - All Grain

A high ABV version of a classic American amber ale recipe.  Munich, Vienna, and Crystal 60L malts provide strong malty and caramel flavors while German Tettnang hops provide a light and complementary hop bitterness.  The 6.8% alcohol content of this ale is a step above the normal range of American amber ales which usuaully reach as high as 5.5%.

• ABV:  6.8%
• SRM:  12.2
• IBU:  31.0
• OG:  1.066
• FG:  1.014

This recipe kit DOES NOT  include yeast, priming sugar or grain bags.  However, we do give you yeast options at the top of the page. These yeasts may have different levels of attenuation which may result in slight variations in the final gravity.  

Priming Sugar:  For priming sugar, we recommend the following:

• 5 oz Priming Sugar
• Carbonation Drops

Grain Bags:  If you need a grain bag, we recommend the following:

* We strongly recommend adding an ice pack when ordering liquid yeast.  Transit times can vary and liquid yeast works best when it remains cold until the day you brew.
