SoCo Heather Ale - Partial Mash

A 5.5% Scottish style ale featuring heather tips which provide chamomile & mint flavors with a hint of lavender.  This recipe also has bready, caramel, and light chocolate flavors from Golden Promise malt, Crystal 80L, and Pale Chocolate Malt.  East Kent Golding hops added at the beginning of the boil add light bitterness to this ale.

• 5.5% ABV
• 17.1 IBU
• 14.3 SRM
• 1.053 OG
• 1.012 FG

This recipe kit DOES NOT  include yeast, priming sugar or grain bags.  However, we do give you yeast options at the top of the page. These yeasts may have different levels of attenuation which may result in slight variations in the final gravity.  

Priming Sugar:  For priming sugar, we recommend the following:

• 5 oz Priming Sugar
• Carbonation Drops

Grain Bags:  If you need a grain bag, we recommend the following:

• Large Muslin Bag (Single Use)
• Jumbo Nylon Straining Bag (Reusable)

Hop Straining Bags:  If you need hop straining bags, we recommend the following:

• Small Muslin Hop Boiling Bag (Single Use)
• Fine Mesh Nylon Hop Bag With Drawstring (Reusable)
