This American style stout has coffee and roast flavors coming from the dark specialty malts and from Chicory root.  Chicory root is often used as a coffee substitute and provides plenty of coffee flavors for this beer.  

Characteristics:

• 6.2% ABV
• 48.9 IBU
• 35.5 SRM
• 1.056 OG
• 1.009 FG

This recipe kit DOES NOT  include yeast, priming sugar or grain bags.  However, we do give you yeast options at the top of the page. These yeasts may have different levels of attenuation which may result in slight variations in the final gravity.  

Priming Sugar:  For priming sugar, we recommend the following:

• 5 oz Priming Sugar
• Carbonation Drops

Grain Bags:  If you need a grain bag, we recommend the following:

* We strongly recommend adding an ice pack when ordering liquid yeast.  Transit times can vary and liquid yeast works best when it remains cold until the day you brew.
