Lake Travis Double IPA - All Grain

This IPA is a higher ABV and higher IBU version of our Town Lake IPA.  This 7.9% ABV Double IPA features Simcoe and Citra hops which provide plenty of citrus, pine, and grapefruit flavors and aromas.  

If you want a lighter ABV version of this beer, then consider our Town Lake IPA.  If you want an even stronger beer, then consider our Lake Buchanan Imperial IPA.

Characteristics:

• 7.9% ABV
• 70.5 IBU
• 10.4 SRM
• 1.075 OG
• 1.016 FG

This recipe kit DOES NOT  include yeast, priming sugar or grain bags.  However, we do give you yeast options at the top of the page. These yeasts may have different levels of attenuation which may result in slight variations in the final gravity.  

Yeast Pitch Rate:  We highly recommend preparing a yeast starter or using 2 packets of yeast for this recipe due to the high original gravity (OG) in order to keep the yeast happy and healthy.

Priming Sugar:  For priming sugar, we recommend the following:

• 5 oz Priming Sugar
• Carbonation Drops

Grain & Hop Bags:  If you need a grain bag, we recommend the following:

• Brew In A Bag Straining Bag With Handles

Hop Straining Bags:  If you need hop straining bags, we recommend the following:

• Small Muslin Hop Boiling Bag
• Fine Mesh Nylon Hop Bag With Drawstring
