1/2" Male NPT to 1/2" Female NPT Adapter

Description: 

• 1/2" Male NPT x 1/2" Female NPT Adapter

Advantage: 

• This allows you to add a Female NPT thread to your kettle or tank vessel without the need to weld.The 1/2" Male NPT Threaded portion of this fitting can be turned into a weldless bulkhead so that it can be installed into vessel only by using threads.
• All that is required is the 1/2" Weldless Kit. 

Installation:

• To install put the Stainless Washer on the male threads of the Same Size Adapter. 
• Then wrap the male threads with a generous portion of teflon tape and insert it into the hole in the kettle or tank vessel. 
• And then finally fasten the lock nut and o-ring on the inside of the vessel wall.

Common Uses: 

• This Fitting allows you to connect a threaded Brew Thermometer into your tank vessel or kettle with a weldless bulkhead and not have to weld on a coupler.

Potential Bonus Application:

• If you connect this fitting with the Female threads on the inside the tank, and the male threaded portion on the outside the tank, then you could connect a Ball Valve straight onto your kettle with out the need for a Close Nipple. (You may need to use two Washers or two O-rings to get the spacing right.)
• This would leave a FNPT thread inside allowing you to connect a Pick up Tube or any other fitting with a MNPT thread to the inside of your kettle.
