SoCo Imperial Red IPA Ale - All Grain

Our 9.0% ABV Imperial Red IPA features Cascade and Evergreen Hops.  Cascade hops give this IPA grapefruit and floral flavors and aromas while Evergreen hops contribute peach, apricot, watermelon candy, pine needles, and bright citrus flavors and aromas.

• 1.087 OG
• 1.020 FG

This recipe kit DOES NOT  include yeast, priming sugar or grain bags.  However, we do give you yeast options at the top of the page. This recipe was designed using White Labs WLP007 Dry English Ale yeast.  Using an alternative yeast may result in slight variations in attenuation and final gravity.

Yeast Pitch Rate:  We highly recommend preparing a yeast starter or using 2 packets of yeast for this recipe due to the high original gravity (OG) in order to keep the yeast happy and healthy.

Priming Sugar:  For priming sugar, we recommend the following:

• 5 oz Priming Sugar
• Carbonation Drops

Grain & Hop Bags:  If you need a grain bag, we recommend the following:

• Brew In A Bag Nylon Straining Bag
• Brew In A Bag Straining Bag With Handles. 

Hop Straining Bags:  If you need hop straining bags, we recommend the following:

• Small Muslin Hop Boiling Bag
• Fine Mesh Nylon Hop Bag With Drawstring
