Product Overview

Dampfbier Partial Mash

Similar to a traditional German style hefeweizen but without the wheat malt.  A traditional Hefeweizen uses wheat malt for enhanced mouthfeel and to keep the beer straw like in color.  This Dampfbier recipe uses Munich Malt as an alternative to Wheat Malt.  Munich Malt darkens the beer to a deeper gold color and adds richer bready malt flavor. This ale is lightly hopped with German Tettnang hops for very low bitterness. Choose a Hefeweizen style yeast from above to give this beer banana and clove flavors.
