Nearly Nirvana Pale Ale - Partial Mash (Big Brew Day 2023) 

Nearly Nirvana Pale Ale is the official recipe for the 2023 Big Brew Day.  This recipe is a classic west coast style pale ale that features Cascade hops.  Cascade hops provide an ample amount of citrus and grapefruit flavors and aromas.

Characteristics:

• ABV:  6.2%
• SRM:  5.8
• IBU:  46.3
• OG:  1.060
• FG:  1.013

This recipe kit DOES NOT  include yeast, priming sugar or grain bags.  However, we do give you yeast options at the top of the page. This recipe was designed using Lallemand BRY-97 dry yeast.  Using one of the other recommended yeasts may result in different levels of attenuation which may result in slight variations in the final gravity.  

Priming Sugar:  For priming sugar, we recommend the following:

• 5 oz Priming Sugar
• Carbonation Drops

Grain Bags:  If you need a grain bag, we recommend the following:

• Large Muslin Bag (Single Use)
• Jumbo Nylon Straining Bag (Reusable)

Hop Straining Bags:  If you need hop straining bags, we recommend the following:

• Small Muslin Hop Boiling Bag (Single Use)
• Fine Mesh Nylon Hop Bag With Drawstring (Reusable)
