Moonlight Cruise Black Ale - Partial Mash

A moderately hopped black ale that focuses on the malty and light roasty flavors.  This is a great choice if you want a Schwarzbier (Black Lager) and don't want to go through the lagering process.  Pilsen Light liquid malt extract, Munich Malt, Carafa III, and Caramunich Malt provide a dark malt color with light chocolate and caramel flavors. Nugget hops provide light herbal and citrus flavors and a light hop bitterness.

This recipe kit DOES NOT  include yeast, priming sugar or grain bags.  However, we do give you yeast options at the top of the page. This recipe was designed using White Labs WLP029 Kolsch yeast. Using an alternative yeast may result in slight variations on attenuation and final gravity.

Priming Sugar:  For priming sugar, we recommend the following:
