Mars the Duck Oat Pale Ale - Partial Mash
A 5.6% ABV Pale Ale loaded with oats which provides distinct oat flavor. Crystal 40L Malt and Pale Chocolate malt darken the beer slightly and give this beer a very light amber color and provides light caramel malt flavors. Chinook and Crystal hops provide a combination of new world citrus flavors and old world floral and herbal flavors.
Hop Sensory Profile:
- Chinook: strong notes of grapefruit define this hop. Pungent suggestions of mountain pine and resin (especially as a dry hop) with citrus and fragrant dried herb in the background.
- Crystal: mild, sweet, and delicate. Highly floral with touch of noble spice such as cinnamon and black pepper; heavy doses or dry hopping can bring out a bit more intensity with suggestions of citrus peel and dried lemongrass.
