Bock (Dunkles Bock Lager) - Partial Mash

Commonly referred to a bock or traditional bock, this malt forward Dunkles Bock lager is dominated by the rich toasty malt flavor of Munich, Vienna, and Pilsen malt base.  Caramunich and Carafa II darken the beer and provide some light caramel and chocolate flavors.  German Tradition and Hallertau hops provide a very light hop bitterness that complements the malt driven beer.

This recipe kit DOES NOT  include yeast, priming sugar or grain bags.  However, we do give you yeast options at the top of the page. This recipe was designed using Wyeast 2206 Bavarian Lager yeast. Using an alternative yeast may result in slight variations in attenuation and final gravity.

Priming Sugar:  For priming sugar, we recommend the following:

* We strongly recommend adding an ice pack when ordering liquid yeast.  Transit times can vary and liquid yeast works best when it remains cold until the day you brew.
