Simplicity Candi Syrup (Blonde) - 1 LB
A unique transparent Belgian candi syrup unlike anything else available on the market today. Excellent for Saison and Golden Ales or as an addition to any higher gravity ale. It is readily fermentable and creates a refreshing subtle flavor that is always on the periphery of your palate somewhere between citrus and honey but much lighter. Simplicity is to be preferred over using common table sugar due to its balance of readily fermentable sugars and subtle flavor. Contains only beet sugar.Â
Candi syrups and sugars are often used in Belgian style beers to increase alcohol content and to add distinct colors and flavors. Brewers will often use 1 to 2 LB of candi sugars and syrups in 5 gallon batches of Belgian style beers.
