Product Overview

Oxygen Wand with 0.5 Micron Diffusion Stone

The Oxygen Wand is a new take on existing Oxygen wands.  Featuring a 24" long 1/4" stainless tube, this wand is made with a flared end to mate directly with existing flared oxygen stones.  The advantage of this is the ability to easily remove and boil the stone, ensuring a bacteria free environment for your customers beer. The .5 Micron size works great with Compressed Oxygen Cylinders.  The 24" length allows for use with carboys, conicals, and most other homebrew vessels!  Please note, the 0.5 micron has too tight of pores to function with an aeration pump.  For an aeration setup, see our 2 micron Oxygen Wand. The OxyWand™ comes with the 24" stainless wand with turned end, a .5 micron diffusion stone, and the nut / washer required to connect the two. Can also be used for oxygenation of wine must during fermentation.

Instructions for using the Oxygen Wand:

  1. Sanitize the Oxygen Wand and tube. (See below for more details)
  2. Insert the OOxygen Wand into the open end of the vinyl tubing.
  3. Attach the Oxygen Regulator to your disposable oxygen tank (sold separately)
  4. Insert the Oxygen Wand down to the bottom to the fermenter.
  5. Turn the knob on top of the regulator until you see bubbles coming from the stone.
  6. Total time of oxygenation should be about 1 to 2 minutes, depending on the gravity of your wort. Remove your OxyWandâ„¢ and install an airlock.
  7. Clean your Oxygen Wand immediately after each use.

Suggestions on cleaning and sanitizing: Avoid touching the stone with your bare hands to prevent clogging its pores with oils from your skin. Before each use, boil the stone for 2 minutes and then attach it to the wand for sanitizing. After use insert the stone back into your bucket of sanitizer and blow oxygen through for 5-10 seconds to clear the wort from it. Remove the stone from the wand and allow it to air dry before placing in a plastic bag for storage.
