English Light Crystal Malt -  Per Pound

Simpsons Crystal Light imparts brilliant golden hues to the finished beer, and contributes subtle flavor notes of malty sweetness, caramel, and toffee.  Used in all beer styles for colour, flavour adjustment and contributing to body, Light Crystal is a softer, less intense version of our standard Medium Crystal malt.

Specifications:

• Color: 36 - 43 Lovibond
• Moisture: 5.0% max
• Usage: Up to 25%

Suggested Use: Used to give the characteristic colour and flavour of UK bitters and pale Ales.

Flavour profile: Imparts toffee, caramel, sweet, nutty, stewed fruit, treacle, raisin flavours and red hues especially with the darker versions.
